Noida police have arrested a 23-year-old delivery worker, identified as Gaurav, for allegedly threatening a woman at knifepoint, forcing her to strip, recording videos of her, and later blackmailing her for months. The shocking incident, which began in July this year, has raised serious concerns about women’s safety and harassment faced by victims under constant fear of threats.

The Crime

According to reports, the incident took place on July 10 in Greater Noida. Gaurav, who delivered milk and groceries in the area, entered a woman’s flat under the pretext of wanting to talk. Once inside, he pulled out a knife and held it to her sleeping son’s neck. Using the child’s life as leverage, he coerced the woman into undressing while he filmed and photographed her against her will. The woman later revealed that she was terrified for the safety of her children, which left her with no option but to comply.

The Victim’s Ordeal

The woman stated in her complaint that when she initially refused, Gaurav escalated his threats. He warned that he would kill her children and specifically threatened to throw her young daughter into a drain if she did not obey. Fearing the worst, the woman gave in to his demands. “When I refused, he threatened to kill my children. He said he would throw my daughter into a drain. Fearing for their lives, I complied,” she said in her statement to the police.

Continuous Harassment and Blackmail

The nightmare did not end with the initial incident. After obtaining the videos and photos, Gaurav began to harass and blackmail the woman. He repeatedly visited her flat, scaled her balcony at night, and warned her against approaching the police. For months, the woman lived under immense fear, being forced into silence as Gaurav continued his harassment.

On September 2, the situation worsened when Gaurav leaked the explicit videos to the woman’s husband and posted clips online. This act not only violated her privacy further but also caused deep mental trauma and humiliation for the victim and her family.

Arrest and Investigation

Following the leak, the victim gathered courage and approached the police, who launched an investigation. Gaurav was arrested soon after, and the authorities confirmed that he had been harassing and blackmailing the woman for nearly two months before his arrest.
