The Euphoria star has become the center of an unexpected media frenzy—first for her American Eagle jeans ad, and now for a resurfaced Baskin Robbins campaign that’s melting the internet faster than a sundae in summer.

The American Eagle Controversy
It all began with what seemed like a cheeky, light-hearted jeans commercial. In the ad, Sweeney wore AE jeans alongside the tagline: “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.” She even added, “My jeans are blue.” But what was likely meant to be playful has turned controversial, with critics accusing the ad of subtly promoting eugenics.

The backlash snowballed quickly. The White House stepped in to condemn “woke” criticism of the campaign, and former President Donald Trump called the ad “fantastic,” especially after being told that the 27-year-old actress is a registered Republican.

As the debate continues, Sweeney’s earlier collaboration with Baskin Robbins has suddenly gone viral again. In the ad, the actress is seen in a pink dress, joyfully indulging in colorful desserts. It ends with the playful tagline: “Sweet on Sydney Menu.”

Social media users wasted no time commenting. One user posted, “This Sydney Sweeney ad for Baskin Robbins ice cream is going massively viral. I love it. Liberals can’t stand seeing this.” Another added, “Sydney Sweeney Baskin Robbins is gonna melt liberal minds. I want ice cream now.”

The ad is not new — it originally launched in June 2025. The limited-time “Sweet on Sydney Menu” was a Baskin Robbins summer special co-created with Sweeney herself.

Sydney’s Signature Scoop – Rainbow Sherbet in a chocolate-dipped waffle cone with rainbow sprinkles and mini gummy bears.
Sydney’s Signature Fizz – A fizzy blend of Rainbow Sherbet and STARRY lemon-lime soda, topped with mini gummy bears.

In a press release at the time, Sweeney shared, “Baskin-Robbins has been part of my life since I was a kid — it’s where some of my favorite memories were made, and I still go multiple times a week.
