Singapore / July 25,2025 : If you think aquariums are boring, think again. The newly opened Singapore Oceanarium at Resorts World Sentosa is not just a renovation, it's a complete transformation. Officially opened on July 24, 2025, this oceanarium is now three times bigger than the old S.E.A. Aquarium and is packed with new attractions, smart technology, and over 40,000 sea creatures.
A Journey Through Time
The oceanarium takes visitors on a journey through 500 million years of marine history. It’s spread across three floors and 22 themed zones, each showing the wonders of the ocean in creative, interactive ways.

The tour starts with a display called "Drop of Water", a small but powerful moment where light and sound bring tiny plankton to life. From there, you move through time, exploring ancient sea monsters, present-day marine life, and future conservation efforts.

Top Highlights
Ocean Wonders:
Get ready for jellyfish heaven. This area features one of the world’s largest tanks for jellyfish. You’ll see glowing moon jellies, Pacific sea nettles, and even a fried egg jellyfish. It’s like watching a slow-motion dance underwater.

Shark Seas:
The famous shark tunnel is back and better. Watch hammerheads, sandbar sharks, and more swim inches above your head. New signs help you spot and learn about each shark.

Ancient Waters:
If you love dinosaurs, you'll enjoy life-size models of extinct sea creatures. You'll also see real survivors like lungfish and horseshoe crabs.

Coral Reefs & Coastal Tides:
This zone celebrates sea life from around Southeast Asia. Watch the archerfish shoot water to catch bugs, or laugh at mudskippers hopping around. The colors of the mandarinfish are a must-see.

Open Ocean:
The biggest attraction a 36-meter-wide glass panel reveals a massive tank filled with over 120 species, including three reef manta rays named Mako, Mana, and Mika.

Whale Fall & Deep Sea:
Walk under the model of a whale skeleton and learn how it helps feed life on the ocean floor. Look out for rare deep-sea creatures like ghost sharks and isopods.

Ocean’s Future:
This final zone gives hope. See real stories of marine conservation and make a digital pledge to protect the ocean.

More Than Just Watching
Throughout the oceanarium, there are touch screens, AR experiences, and even art zones where you can design your own fish. Kids and adults alike can learn while having fun.

Feeling hungry? Visit the ocean-themed cafés like Ocean Bites for shark-shaped sandwiches and jellyfish cupcakes.

The gift shop also focuses on sustainable products, including eco-friendly toys and local art.
