Sunday’s final marked another compelling chapter in the growing rivalry between Sinner and Alcaraz — two players who have come to dominate men’s tennis. The pair had shared the last six Grand Slam titles leading up to Wimbledon, each winning three.

Heading into the match, Alcaraz held the edge in their head-to-head, with eight wins in 12 previous meetings, including a 3–1 record in Grand Slam matches and a 3–1 record in finals. He had also won Wimbledon in both 2023 and 2024.

Sinner’s aggressive game plan proved to be a key factor in his victory. He played more offensively throughout the match and recorded a 62% first-serve percentage compared to Alcaraz’s 53%, keeping his opponent under constant pressure.
